I PAINT A MURAL FOR THE NATIONAL SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAM
UNDERRATED
Looking forward to more of this series. I think my first mural was 35 years ago in Middle school, they had me paint our mascot on a hallway wall. I have always loved working large, changing an entire space if possible. I like to sculpt 3d elements to add to the illusions. Fun stuff. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing! We just have to throw ourselves out there. My first few murals were just for family so I could get the practice. But my first REAL mural was for a college where I live and, similar to your story, I just approached and asked. It pretty much just led to a chain reaction after that. 🙂
Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to become what it has. But, the universe seems willing to help a bit when we take steps in the direction we want to go. Thanks for sharing. Glad to hear others out there are bringing more color to the world!
Painting in the wind is awful. Glad it all worked out. This was super fun to watch.
Right on! Glad you dug it. The wind on this one was stupid, but just had to get it done. Thanks so much!
Excellent!
👀🔥🔥
Your work flow is inspiring. Do you prefer rattlecans or brush work? Most of my mural work is indoor, and I never get to use spray-paint. Recently started airbrushing some of it again, but I feel like it might lack some of the finesse of brush painting? Loved watching this. Thanks for sharing.
I really dig both and enjoy that my projects dictate different mediums. Maybe check out Gold Montana or their water based line for indoor projects. Low pressure and low odor might be nice to incorporate... Check out @barrio_artist on Instagram - that guy is a wizard with the air brush
Nice one Jesse!
Much appreciated Blaze!
Amazing work, I am about to paint my first one and I have followed and read different stuff , I really like your style. Do you mind sharing what type or acrylic exterior paint you use ? And or spray paint? Keep up the good work it is soooo amazing
I got my acrylic paint from Home Depot and I typically use MTN 94 or Hardcore
Awesome. Where do you find the Montana spray paint? I want to get into cans, it looks so much faster than brushwork.
Check your local art supply stores. They are bound to have something. Loop, Ikon, Kobra, Molotow are all good choices too.
Beautiful
Thank you!
Stunning work ... to think a person has all this wonderfulness stored in their brain and then is able to translate it into a reality and be able to share it with others to enjoy ... God has blessed you with a talent so beautiful.
Wow, thank you! Much appreciated
Hell yeah man, seems like you been getting more and more murals popping off. Nice work’
Yes sir, thanks so much! Hit me up bro... miss ya!
Excellent work. I love your line weight and color pallet.
Right on, thanks so much!
Yes to the sketch process...
Badass dude!
Thanks bro!
Sweet integration of the space and door! How do you go about getting these mural jobs?
I'll do a video on getting jobs in the near future:)
I'll eagerly await that video...thanks and love your content!
Good work Jesse! Subscribed 👏🏼

Heyo! Thanks so much. More on the way for sure!

Thanks so much!
This is awesome. The colors really pop!!
Thanks Ham!
@@JessePerryArt you're welcome!
Hey man, awesome work!!! What type of paint did you use? I'm a mural artist from North Carolina and I am getting ready to paint some crosswalks in my hometown for the first time and I'm trying to figure out the best type of paint to use.
Hey thanks so much! Congrats on the crosswalk gig. The piece I painted is temporary and only intended to last for six months. I used acrylic paints for my local hardware store. I recommend checking out @iamdetour for more comprehensive videos and details about asphalt and concrete painting.
@@JessePerryArt Thank you sir!! Been watching several of your videos this morning. Amazing work!!
Jesse, love the video and we are absolutely loving the mural. Everyone that sees it is blown away. Every time I go out I just relish in how amazing the Art in my backyard is.
Just wondering how much you charge ur client for like that mural..amaazing dudz
I charge based on square footage and then compare that to the clients budget. If you're just getting started I recommend feeling out your market a bit and throwing out some estimates to clients
What kind of paint can you use to paint the food truck? My friend is wanting me to do her coffee truck and I just want it to look good
I used spray paint and exterior acrylic paint. Home depot has a good selection
Are these the 12oz bottles?
These are the 4oz containers for this video
Omg your work is amazing!!!
Thanks so much!!!
I live in las Vegas and I recently seen your mural at Jeremiah`s Italian ice, it was absolutely beautiful!.
Oh that's wonderful! I loved painting that piece!!! Would love to make it back out there some time soon
Looks great but should’ve done your info on the back bigger too thanks for sharing 👽🤙🏼
Oh my goodness! Love that you incorporated barnyard animals wearing sunglasses. So cute! The cow is definitely my fav! The trailer looked great in just black and white, but with the color, it really looks awesome!
Right on, thanks so much. Really wanted to make this one a stand out!
love this video man!
Freakin dope piece!! Cool way to recreate game theme with an original concept...
Thanks so much! This one was fun and challenging
DassDope! The music to!
Right on! Thank you!
2bit painting is next level! this came out awesome
This mural is so cool. Definitely seeing Space Invaders, Super Mario, and Pac-Man. I"m probably missing a few others; but, I love how you put a spin on some of the classic video games while still keeping them recognizeable.
Right on, thanks so much. This one was heavily inspired, but still had its own thing going on. Made me want to hit up an arcade!
your style is awesome man! super inspired by your cacti in alot of your works, along with your color schemes
Heyo! Thanks so much! Lots more color on the way!!!!
After painting the food truck would you have to keep it indoors all the time?
That won't be an option for them so no. They do keep it under a covered parking space. The better they take care of it the longer it will last tho.
Whoa, you really outdid yourself with this one. It is so beautiful. And I love the glow.
Thanks so much! It was so fun to bring this one to life.
Sick piece!!!
Thanks so much!
Ohhh... I was so hoping to see how excited the children were at the new creation. But I can't help but wonder what kind of black light did they use that lit up the whole room even the little fireflies on the other wall. Great job!!!!!!
Great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it More on the way!
Yohohohoho yohohohoho yohohohoho good job
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!
You’re a bad man with the brush love it bro
Right on, thanks so much!
P r o m o s m ☀️
So grateful for you!!! Having you and your incredible creativity with us on New Years was a blessing to all! Keep up the incredible work! #doinmything #intentional
Great paintings!! Pretty scary hanging them....
Thanks so much! Yeah, it was a bit scary so I'm glad I had some help:)
what did you use to paint the details with the fine brush??
For this one I used black, exterior house paint from Behr
Great paintings!! Pretty scary hanging them....
Thanks so much! And yes, I was certainly sweating hanging those...
Best kept secret. I lived around the corner from this place for almost 10 years. Was walking my dog and went inside. They are legit nice people and love what they do. Support small companies like this.
Right on, that's so cool! I was introduced to them by a friend about a year ago and haven't looked back. Cheers!
I known that piece 🐙🔪🍣! Awesome anecdote my friend 🙌
Thank you brother! It's been a long journey and there is still a ways to go, but it's always fun being reminded of where it all started.
